Limescale tiles

Can limescale be prevented on tiles? Yes! It is better for your tiles and grout if lime does not have a chance to build up into a hard layer. Keeping your bathroom, toilet and kitchen free of limescale makes it more difficult for dirt to adhere, which contributes to hygiene. Read here how you can keep your tiles limescale-free.

Clean regularly

By regularly cleaning your bathroom, kitchen and toilet you prevent limescale from building up. This does mean that you must clean all tile work weekly with cleaning agent. It takes time and energy and cleaning products are not cheap either. If you have a large bathroom, this is a big job!

Keep dry

Limescale is the result of lime particles that adhere to the tiles when water dries. You can prevent limescale deposits by keeping the tiles dry. Make sure that no water remains on the backsplash tiles in the kitchen or on the bathroom tiles. By wiping the shower wall with a squeegee, no water droplets are left behind. If necessary, you can dry the surfaces with a soft cloth.
